Mutants at Beamriders
6/17/15

The Beamriders had already won their second Action Network Championship two days prior, so their manager gave their starters the day off. The Mutants lit up the Beamriders for four runs while shutting out the champs. The Beamriders big bats later came out and tied the game 4-4 in the 7th inning. The two teams battled it out until the Beamriders got a walk-off single in the 10th inning, capping off the biggest comeback in IBL history.

The Beamriders were in trouble after having lost game one 2-1 in 13 innings. They blasted off in game two with a 3-run home run in the first inning, then tacked on another run in the 4th. The Bombers refused to give up, scoring three runs in the 5th. The Beamriders were on their way to victory until their closer gave up a dramatic tying run in the bottom of the 9th. The Beamriders kept pounding the ball in the 10th, scoring their winning run 5-4 to tie the series. They went on to win their first league championship.

The series to decide the first league champion was between two hot teams. Game one was a tough fight with lots of lead changes. The Beamriders took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the 7th inning and went on to win.

Deadly Dogs at Ghosts
5/9/16

The two newest teams in the league went head-to-head to kick off the first inter-network week of the 2016 season. The Ghosts jumped out 2-0 in the 2nd inning on a combination of big hits and small ball. The Deadly Dogs did the same in the 3rd inning to tie the game.

The Deadly Dogs took advantage of some poor Ghosts defense to take the lead 3-2 in the 4th. The Ghosts answered back with more big hits to tie the game at 3 in the bottom of the 4th.

Both teams battled it out until a poor fielder's choice by the Ghosts gave the Deadly Dogs the winning run in the top of the 9th and a 4-3 victory.

River Raiders at Bombers
4/20/17

It was still early in the fourth season of the league and teams were still shaking off the rust from the offseason. The River Raiders were coming into this game from a bye week and they were still feeling good about an extra inning win against the Deadly Dogs in week one. The Deadly Dogs turned around and got a comeback win against the Bombers in week two. The Bombers took the field in this game trying to get their first win of the season.

The River Raiders quickly jumped out to a two run lead in the first inning on a combination of infield hits, a near miss home run, and a Bombers error. The Bombers fired back with five straight singles to tie the game in the bottom of the first. The Bombers then hit into a double play and a groundout to second to finally end the inning.

With two out in the top of the second inning, the River Raiders took a 4-2 lead.
The Bombers scored a run in the second inning on an error by the Raiders shortstop to narrow the lead to 4-3.

Both teams fought hard until the fifth inning when the River Raiders unloaded for a whopping five runs, including a three-run home run.

The Bombers kept fighting back and scored a run in the 6th inning, but they ended up getting bombed 9-4.

This set a new league record for most runs in a game by one team, and a record for total runs scored in a game.
